Vineyards and Wineries of Marquesa Valserrano was born in the second half of the 19th century when Don Francisco Javier Solano y Eulate, “Marqués de la Solana”, owner of a family winery and a significant area of vineyards in Villabuena, decided, following the advice of the famous Bordeaux oenologist of the time, Mr. Pineau, to start producing and aging quality wines according to the methods imported from Medoc and selling them bottled, after their upbringing, under the brand “Marqués de la Solana”.
Soon his wines began to receive important awards, such as the Silver Medal obtained at the Logroño Exhibition in 1898 and the Gold Medal at the Barcelona Universal Exhibition in 1929.
