Imagine, at 200 meters above sea level, in the heart of the forests, a magnificent amphitheater over precious underground waters that naturally irrigate the crops, even in the case of prolonged drought… An ideal situation, testified for centuries by the name of the place where the vineyard is located: “Favori”.
It is said that rosé was invented in Provence. In any case, the Romans had already planted their vines there to make rosé, the Templars developed agriculture in the region, which later experienced a tremendous boom just before the Napoleonic era, as evidenced by the kilometers of stone walls (traditional walls made with stones from the area) and the remains of drainage and irrigation systems that dot the estate. Generations of winemakers have perpetuated this rich past, selling their harvests to a local merchant. In 2019, Château Favori renews this tradition of excellence by launching its own cuvée.
